The Drunken Crab opened in 1986 in one of the oldest streets in Marmaris, close to the historic Castle area. Marmaris was just beginning to find its place on the tourist map and the street was empty of the bars and nightclubs that exist today.
This stone building, built over 100 years ago, was originally one of the houses in a small village populated by fishermen and sponge divers. Mustafa renovated his family home and turned it into a restaurant and the exterior still reflects the traditional style of a Marmaris house.
Our family-run restaurant has 5 tables. To ensure quality we do not have a huge menu; mainly traditional Turkish Meze, fresh fish and other seafood. We also have weekly specials. Everything is prepared to order so you may have a little wait! We can make many other dishes, both Turkish and International, just let us know what you would like one day in advance.
At the Drunken Crab you can enjoy a good meal followed by our complimentary dessert, snack on a few mezze ‘tapas’ style or, as many of our friends do, just pop in for a drink and a chat or get some tips on where to shop and what to do in and around Marmaris!
